Oceanographer and conservationist Paula Pijoan led the group in a Shinrin-yoku or forest bath in an ancient oak grove at Rancho Encino Las Chichihuas, Valle de Guadalupe. The encounter focused on connecting with the environment through all the senses. The practice led by Pijoan included an understanding of each individual’s relationship with nature and, in the case of the participating artists, sought to introduce them to an alternative relationship with the landscape.
