Rosângela Rennó
(Brazil, 1962)
For her INSITE97 project, United States/Estados Unidos, Rosângela Rennó worked with Mexican photographer Eduardo Zepeda to make a collection of portraits of Tijuana residents who had migrated from each of the thirty-one states of Mexico. The collection drew on the diversity of the city and its status as an immigration center without a unified identity. The photographs were installed in the street windows of the Children’s Museum/Museo de los Niños in San Diego.
Curators: Jessica Bradley, Olivier Debroise, Ivo Mesquita, and Sally Yard
