Quisqueya Henríquez
(Cuba, 1966)
Installed in the basement of the Children’s Museum/Museo de los Niños in downtown San Diego, Quisqueya Henríquez’s piece presented the viewer with an ordered, anti-labyrinth experience. Constructed from cardboard-covered wooden poles, the grid was built scaled to the human body to give a greater sensory impact as the viewer navigated the room.
