Contemporary jewelry designer, professor, and curator Kerianne Quick focused her dialogue on exploring the connections between aesthetic production and the emotional and historical charge that objects carry. Quick is deeply interested in how personal objects such as jewelry share with their material value other kinds of values, such as memories and remembrance: a way of conceiving of creation not only as material but also as symbolic production.
