Micro Installation, 1992

Artist

Jay Johnson’s Micro Installation portrays two artist ‘workers’ pushing against a kitsch new colored logo of America’s finest city. Beneath, a banner states, ‘Despite where we are we make art’. The piece represents the frustrations and lack of interest serious local artists and institutions like Installation experience while working to gain visibility in San Diego.
