Kísh Tetáyawet /Dreamhouse/Wampkísh, 1992

Luna and deSoto’s installation focuses on ethnic assimilation and cultural integrity. This seemingly homey house compresses elements from a familiar vocabulary with elements from a language beyond daily experience. Mundane, middle-class comforts mingle with organic reminders of a higher, spiritual reality.
