Cristina Rivera Garza is an author, translator, and critic. Her most recent book is Cotton Autobiography (Random House Literature, 2020). Rivera Garza is currently the M.D. Anderson Distinguished Professor and founder of the PhD in Creative Writing in Spanish Program at the University of Houston, Texas.
